Wiz Word Search for Kids Ages 8–12

Trickier grids, smarter themes

£5.90

For kids who’ve outgrown the 6–8 book and want grids with a bit more bite. The grids are bigger (mostly 12×12, with some 14×14 in the later chapters), and from chapter two onwards words run diagonally as well as the usual directions. The increase is gentle, with a one-page warning the first time we change rules, so no one feels ambushed.

Themes are pitched up too: planets, Greek mythology, capital cities, instrument families, film titles. Plenty of crossover with what a Year 5 or Year 6 kid is learning at school, but never in a worksheet way.

Long enough to last a whole school holiday if it’s rationed out properly. Slim enough to live in a school bag.
